PRAY WITH TENACITY

I. Foundation: Tenacious Prayer Begins with Faith

Hebrews 11:6 – “And without faith it is impossible to please Him…”

James 5:13–16 – Prayer of faith for healing, forgiveness, and righteousness.

Faith is the entryway to effective prayer. Tenacious prayer believes that God hears and responds. It is persistent not because of doubt, but because of belief in God’s timing and wisdom.

II. The Pattern of Prayer (ACTS Framework)

This structure cultivates tenacity by rooting prayer in a full relationship with God.

A. Adoration (Worship and Praise)

Matthew 6:9 – “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name…”

Begin by honoring who God is: holy, sovereign, loving, just. Praise keeps our focus on God’s greatness over our circumstances.

B. Confession (Acknowledging Sin)

Matthew 6:12 – “And forgive us our debts…”

Honest confession humbles us before God. It clears the pathway for deeper communion and power in prayer.

C. Thanksgiving (Gratitude for All Things)

1 Thessalonians 5:16–18 – “…give thanks in all circumstances…”

Gratitude strengthens faith and deepens trust. Tenacious prayer includes thanks even before the answer comes.

D. Supplication (Asking and Interceding)

Ephesians 6:18 – “…with all prayer and supplication… for all the saints.”

Acts 4:24 – Recognizing God’s sovereignty in requests.

Philippians 4:8 – Frame our requests with right thinking and motives.

Bring personal and others’ needs before God persistently. Tenacity in prayer involves continual asking, interceding, and trusting.

III. Ask, Seek, Knock – Persistent and Bold Requests

James 1:5 – “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God…”

Tenacious prayer involves seeking God’s will, not just answers. Includes spiritual posture: Submit to God Resist the devil Draw near to God Purify your heart (James 4) God honors the humble, persistent seeker.

IV. The Power of the Word in Prayer

Hebrews 4:12 – “For the word of God is living and active…”

Prayer is powerful when rooted in Scripture. God’s Word discerns motives, guides supplication, and builds faith.

V. Conclusion: Keep Praying, Keep Believing

Tenacious prayer is not about length—it’s about depth, consistency, and faith. Whether you’re praying for healing, wisdom, peace, or transformation— Don’t stop. Don’t give up. Keep pressing in.
